August 25, 2018 - Burning Man
It wasn't planned, just felt right. With the backdrop of rising sun and infinite playa, I asked Meagan if she would marry me. Without blink of an eye, she said Yes! There was no ring, but the Yes will ring in my heart forever, no picture to capture the moment, but a story we will never forget. A story that has just begun.

September 17, 2018 - The Enchantments
It was cold and windy, with sleet and snow making the climb even more treacherous on Aasgard Pass. Then the Sun broke out, glistening gold upon the mountains and alpine lakes. But all that beauty paled in front of her smiling face. I felt compelled to go down on a knee, and there was a resounding YES that echoed off the mountains and enchanted my heart!

October 16, 2018 - Shi Shi Beach
With the backdrop of Pacific Ocean and Olympic Mountains, Vinay dropped on a knee, and asked Meagan to marry him. And she said YES!

November 22, 2018 - Bali
Bali - oh what a trip it was! Thank you Shin-Yi and Doug for taking us to Bali. We explored depth of the ocean - scuba dived, and swam with manta-rays, saw baby shark, sea turtles, and coral reefs. We hiked up a volcano - mount Batur, and witnessed sunrise from atop. We biked through villages, rice paddies, farms, and fields. And then we came across a field of marigolds. November 22, 2018 - Bali
Bali - oh what a trip it was! Thank you Shin-Yi and Doug for taking us to Bali. We explored depth of the ocean - scuba dived, and swam with manta-rays, saw baby shark, sea turtles, and coral reefs. Imagine Meet The Patels, and Meet The Parents. Now mash them together. That was our India trip - It brought our families together over a train journey through the golden triangle. We ate good food, sang, and danced. We saw amazing palaces, and forts. Rode elephants and camels, up the fort, and sand dunes in the desert. We did a safari through a jungle, saw birds that traveled from afar in a bird sanctuary. And as the trip was winding down, we saw the most beautiful… read more

And Vinay, in front of the greatest symbol of love, asked Meagan to marry him. Her yes - our mutual confession of love - added a little more sparkle to the Taj Mahal.

April 30, 2019 - Crystal Mountain
So hard to stay on your feet,
when you don't know how to ski.
But with the sheer majesty of The Mountain,
and beauty of The Lady - I'd rather be on my knee.
On a bluebird day, with The Mountain bearing witness,
I asked Meagan to marry me.
And she said YES!
